If you lease a vehicle through Amazon, you are required to carry a copy of the Master Policy Auto ID card and the Auto ID card issued for your company’s auto policy. It is important to train your drivers on the differences between these two cards and in which events they should be used.
In the event of an accident, your drivers should provide the Auto ID card issued for your company’s auto policy. If the correct card is not provided, this will delay claim processing. This Auto ID card will list your business information such as business name, business address and the policy number (begins with ALA).
The Master Policy Auto ID should be used for proof of registration in the event of a traffic stop or if proof of registration is required. If the correct card is not provided in this circumstance, the vehicle will show as unregistered or uninsured when the registration is verified. This Auto ID card will have Amazon Logistics listed as the owner and will have the Master policy number listed (begins with MWTB).
Marsh has worked with Amazon to get regular updates to your active vehicle information through the Amazon Fleet Portal. When Marsh receives a vehicle change notice from the Amazon Fleet Portal, we will automatically update your insurance and notify you of the changes. Should you have any questions about these changes, contact your Marsh insurance advisor for assistance.
You are able to create and download your evidence only Certificate of Insurance (COIs) for your active policies through Marsh via our online platform. Log in today >

Pay-as-you-go is a monthly billing feature that is now available upon new enrollment with Workers’ Compensation policies through the Marsh DSP Insurance program. Your policy and payments will automatically update to account for changes in payroll throughout your policy term with actual payroll amounts. This helps simplify cash flow management and administration because your premiums will be aligned with your actual payroll, reducing the risk of your annual premium audit resulting in high amounts of additional premium being due.
New policy: We have made enrollment easy! After you bind your Workers’ Compensation policy through the Marsh DSP Insurance program, you will automatically be enrolled in pay-as-you-go billing. It will be the only billing option available for DSPs.
Renewing: Pay-as-you-go billing will be available to you with your Workers’ Compensation renewal. You cannot enroll in pay-as-you-go billing during your current coverage period.
We will receive payroll information from Amazon as provided by your payroll provider on a monthly basis. This means you do not need to take any additional steps to provide your actual payroll amounts. We will calculate your Workers’ Compensation premium based on actual payroll information.
The monthly premium bill will be allocated to 95% drivers and 5% clerical, unless you have directed a preferred allocation. If you participate in the Walkers program, your allocation for all payroll in the state of New York, will be allocated to 25% drivers, 70% walkers and 5% clerical, unless you have directed a preferred allocation.
Yes! We have enhanced your billing breakdown document which accompanies your monthly bill, to now include payroll information used to calculate your Workers’ Compensation premium.
With pay-as-you-go billing, we use the previous months payroll to determine the amount due. This means if you have a policy effective 9/1/2024, your first bill will be on October 25th using the September 2024 payroll. Your last installment will be charged after policy expiration in order to collect the full payroll for the policy term.
Example: If your policy is effective 9/1/2024, your last bill will come out on 9/25/2025.
We’ve got you covered! As a bonus, we include newly reported changes from the previous billing month (most recent plus one!) to catch these changes.
Previously, your monthly bills were based on the estimated annual payroll that you provided when you applied for Workers’ Compensation. Now, your monthly bill will be reflective of your actual payroll, helping to potentially avoid high additional premium amounts being due at the time of audit. This will help you more efficiently manage your business expenses and simplify cash flow management.
Contact a member of your regional account team for any questions regarding payroll or billing.
