Optimize your insurance costs through your performance dashboard

Managing your business insurance can be a difficult task, that is why we have worked to develop a digital, personalized performance dashboard to provide you with insights into how you are performing from an insurance standpoint and ways in which you can reduce your costs.

Once you log in, your performance dashboard becomes your insurance ally. It provides personalized insights and actions to minimize insurance costs while helping you better understand your insurance performance through key indicators.

You can access your policy summary, claim counts, claims costs, and your ranking on how you are performing to minimize your insurance costs.

Your performance is based on factors that are within your control as a DSP. We realize that insurance prices across all industries and product lines are rising due to inflation, modernization and other market dynamics. Reviewing your performance dashboard regularly can help you minimize factors that are within your control.

Key items that impact your Commercial Auto and Cargo Legal Liability policy performance:
  • Safety
  • Claim rate
  • Time to report claims
Key items that impact your Workers' Compensation policy performance:
  • Experience modifier (EMOD)
  • Claim rate
  • Time to report claims

Experience modifier (EMOD) 101

Your EMOD is determined by the state reporting agency you are operating out of, that is determined based on your individual business performance.

EMOD compares your claim experience to industry standards, which affects your Workers’ Compensation premium.

If your EMOD value is greater than 1.0, it means you are below the industry’s average, which will result in an increase in your Workers’ Compensation premium.

Marsh and your insurance carrier are not involved in the calculation of your EMOD, however by law it must be applied to your policy once issued by the state.
