No, REMAX franchisees are not required to participate in the Broker Insurance Program, but we are the preferred broker to help you meet your insurance requirements.

Errors & Omissions (E&O) Insurance (or Professional Liability Insurance) protects real estate brokers from financial losses for claims alleging mistakes, errors, omissions, negligence, or other deficiencies that occurred during their provision of professional real estate services.

  • Real Estate Errors and Omissions: Real estate E&O Insurance, also known as Professional Liability Insurance, protects real estate brokers from financial losses for claims alleging mistakes, errors, omissions, negligence, or other deficiencies that occurred during their provision of professional real estate services.
  • General Liability: Protects your business from financial loss resulting from accidents, injuries, or property damage that occur on your premises or as a result of your business operations.
  • Automobile Liability: Can include both liability and physical damage coverage. Covers cost of injuries and damages that are caused by you or your employees involving your business autos, up to your policy limits. Can also pay for damage to your vehicles if you hit another vehicle or object.
  • Workers' Compensation/Employer’s Liability: This insurance helps both employees and employers from financial impact of workplace injuries, providing for medical care, wages from lost work time and more.
  • Cyber/Network Security and Privacy Liability Insurance: Covers your business’ first and third party liability and financial losses from data breaches and other cyber events including phishing, ransomware and extortion. 
  • Property Insurance: Protects you from financial loss due to damage to your physical assets, such as your building or equipment from events like fire, theft, or natural disasters. This coverage is typically required by the terms of any lease or required by any lender for the Premises.

  • Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI): Protects you against employment related claims made by employees related to work-place wrongful acts such as discrimination, wrongful termination, or harassment.
  • Umbrella Liability: An additional layer of liability coverage beyond the limits of existing liability insurance policies. This coverage is designed to protect from significant, catastrophic loss that may exceed the standard liability limit.
