Eligibility

About the program

Active State Farm Agents are eligible to participate in the Agents' Errors & Omissions (E&O) program. While E&O coverage is not a requirement of any Agent's Agreement, the company does advise agents to consider their risk of operating an independent business and protect themselves accordingly. Please note that a number of states require E&O coverage as a condition of holding an insurance license. Your ability to represent some of State Farm's Alliance Partners is also dependent on carrying E&O coverage.

In order to participate in the Agents' E&O program agents must join the SF Risk Management Group, LLC. The SF Risk Management Group, LLC is a risk purchasing group established in accordance with federal law for the purpose of purchasing group E&O coverage for State Farm Agents. There is no cost to join or fees to remain a member of SF Risk Management Group, LLC.

Enrollment

Marsh has introduced a new proprietary website, effective with the 2019 Agents’ E&O Annual Enrollment.   All agents have the opportunity through Marsh’s website to enroll, change coverage, and change premium deduction plans during the annual enrollment period. Changes made during the annual enrollment will be effective on January 1 of the following year.

Newly appointed agents are provided the opportunity to enroll through Marsh’s website in the Agents' E&O program 14 days prior to and 14 days after their appointment date.   Marsh will send agents an email notice advising them they have been identified as eligible to enroll.
