About the Program

State Farm will notify us of your retirement; no action is required.

All Certificate of Insurance/Declaration Pages will be e-mailed to your State Farm email address in late December.  That should allow time for the agents to receive them and forward copies to other companies and state agencies.

Currently, State Farm pays Marsh on behalf of the agents.   Current enrolled agents may select to have payment deductions from commissions in Full (February) or in 4 monthly installments.  If you choose 4 monthly installments, payment deductions will be made at the end of the following months: February, March, April, and May. Supplemental EPL elections are deducted as one lump sum at month-end February.

No, you are a member of a group plan and payment will be made by State Farm. Automatic deductions are available to pay the annual E&O premium.  During the enrollment period, you may choose the option that works best for you:

  • Single deduction taken in the month-end February payment or
  • Four equal deductions taken in the month-end February, March, April, and May payments.

Please contact 800-538-7802 or email AgentsReporting@Marsh.com so we may assist you.

  • The rates did not change, as such the only variables affecting your premium is your compensation and the limits of coverage chosen.
  • The minimum compensation used to calculate premium increased from $25,000 to $75,000.
  • Prior 12 month’s gross income received from State Farm Insurance Companies is used to calculate premium.

  • Please contact State Farm Agency/Sales Resources (ASR) to start the process. You will be instructed to complete the Request to Incorporate form found in the ABS webpage.  When State Farm (ASR) receives the completed form, they will inform Marsh accordingly and a Declarations page will be sent to you with your Incorporation name.
  • The Incorporation process for the State of Texas is different than for other states.  If you have not already done so, please contact State Farm Agency/Sales Resources (ASR) to start the process.  You will be instructed to complete the Request to Incorporate form found in the ABS webpage.  The request form may be submitted without the license and articles being attached.  Once State Farm (ASR) receives the completed form, they will inform Marsh accordingly and a Declarations page will be sent to you with your Incorporation name.

Post Enrollment

Congratulations! State Farm does alert us to retirements on a monthly basis, therefore there is nothing further for you to do. In addition, retired agents have unlimited extension of coverage after termination (beyond the five year extension) on acts, errors or omissions occurring prior to termination as long as AIG, or one of their subsidiaries, is the insurer of this program.

Payments/reimbursements are made via payroll deduction through State Farm. No need to send any money directly to Marsh.

Please contact 800-538-7802 or email AgentsReporting@Marsh.com so we may assist you.

Marsh will email the complete E&O policy to each agent’s State Farm email address.

E-mailing the Certificate of Insurance/Declarations allows agents to have their Policy Documents as soon as possible. Over the years, we have heard about the need for agents to receive these documents as early as possible. With the email, we have now achieved the quickest delivery time ever for the comprehensive policy and endorsements.

You should be able to save the PDF documents as an electronic file to your network for easy access and future reference. Otherwise a copy of the policy, policy endorsements and state endorsements can be found on the Marsh website.
