Your aircraft must meet the following criteria to be eligible :
- Foreign Registered - The only exception is if you purchased a US registered aircraft and need to ferry it to Canada while it is still bearing a US registration. Please refer to the Optional Coverage, Ferry Flight Coverage section of the application.
- Your aircraft does not exceed seven (7) passenger seats (excluding the pilot).
- Your aircraft does not have a hull value of more than $1,500,000
- Your aircraft does not have a permissible take-off weight of more than 5,670 kg (12,500 lbs.)
- Your aircraft is not classified as a 'Basic Ultralight','Balloon', 'Airship','Glider','Motor Glider', 'Hang Glider','Paraglider', 'Hovercraft','Unmanned Air Vehicle', 'Very Light Jet (VLJ)', or is commercially registered.
- All pilots must have a valid licence and medical certificate.
- Pilots holding only an Ultralight Pilot Permit are not eligible for the Gold Wings plan.
